Memories of Dermot start way back in the 80's. Personality, sense of purpose and fair play, all encompassed by a wicked sense of humour.
When he found his Cornelia he quite literally blossomed. One of my life's privileges was to have known Dermot and be able to call him my friend.

My sincere condolences for your loss.
I have fond memories of working with Dermot, the highlight of any training event was Dermot introducing himself as the "real" Dermot O`Leary.
A wonderful wonderful man who will be missed by all the blue light partners.
Rest well my friend.

Dear friend and gentleman first met Dermot in the 1980s in B coy RWF. Where you served overseas on tours. We spent so much time together until we went on our blue light careers in separate services. Always knowing that if I went to a job somewhere and you where there the words we will be ok Dermots here, massive relief that was Dermot. You made a huge difference in all that you did,I could write so much a bout our experiences. I will miss our chats along the road with dog rest in peace dear friend/ brother.
