It is with much sadness and regret, the family of the late James Thomas Murray “Jimmy” announce his passing and funeral arrangements.
James Thomas Murray, fondly known as Jimmy, came into this world on 22nd June 1944 and passed away peacefully on 27th February 2026 at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family, aged 81 years.
Beloved husband of Patricia, loving and devoted Dad to James, Yvonne, Jacqueline and Tricia, and their partners Carol, Anthony, Michael and Chris.
A cherished Grandad to Caty, Thomas, Grace, James Jr, Kian, Ruby, Taigan, Poppy, Issy, Cara and Caelan.
A devoted family man and a true gentleman.
Loved by everyone who knew him and missed more than words can say.

Requiem Mass will take place on Monday 16th March 2026 at St Oswald’s Roman Catholic Church, Old Swan, at 10:00am, followed by committal at Allerton Cemetery.
Family flowers only, please, but donations will be gratefully received in memory of Jimmy for Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital, Broadgreen.
