AnneMORRISAnne Morris, 93, passed away peacefully on Wednesday 7th January 2026 at Edgbaston Manor Care Home, whose compassionate care we appreciate. She was a devoted wife to her late husband, Michael and was deeply loved by her family: her eldest son, Stephen and his wife, Lois; her daughter, Paula and her wife, Cory; her son Christopher; and her youngest son, Andrew and his partner Lucy; and her beloved grandchildren: Simon, Joy, Alex, and Grace.
A working mum, Ma Morris was always on our side. She was a pre-school advocate and lifelong teacher, whose pupils sometimes called her Mum. She had exquisite handwriting, wrote her shopping lists in Pitman, and typed 80 words a minute flawlessly even while listening to our stories of the day. She loved a devilish cryptic crossword, world travels, and interminable expletive-ridden card games with dad. Her style, iron will, parties, chocolate eclairs, and Sunday roasts are all legendary. "And a good time was had by all."
No flowers please, but donations to the Alzheimer's Society in her memory would be much appreciated.
