GariMELVILLEGyda thristwch rydym yn cyhoeddi bod bu Gari farw ar y 9fed o Rhagfyr 2025. Roedd Gari yn dad annwyl i Tanglwst, Griffri a'r ddiweddar Taliesin, yn ffrind i lawer, ac yn ffigwr annwyl yn y sîn gerddoriaeth Gymraeg drwy ei waith gyda'i Archif Roc a Phop Gymraeg. Wnath ei angerdd am draddodiadau, straeon a synau Cymru fyrfio ei fywyd, a rhannodd yr angerdd hwn yn hael drwy ei ymchwil, gydweithrediadau a'r gyfnogaeth a gynigodd i eraill.

Rydym yn eich gwahodd i ymuno â ni i gofio bywyd Gari, a bu farw ar y 9fed o Rhagfyr 2025. Ymunwch â ni ar y 29ain o Rhagfyr 2025 am 10:00AM yn Amlosgfa Abertawe ar gyfer gwasanaeth lle byddwn yn ddathlu ei fywyd ac yn ei ffarwelio.
Mae croeso i fynychwyr wisgo lliwiau os fod gwell ganddynt; nid oes angen wisgo dillad galaru.

We announce with sadness that Gari passed away on 9th December 2025. Gari was a beloved father to Tanglwst, Griffri and the late Taliesin, friend to many, and a cherished figure in the Welsh music scene through his work with his Welsh Archive of Rock and Pop. His passion for the traditions, stories, and sounds of Wales shaped his life, and he shared that passion generously through his research, collaborations, and the encouragement that he offered to others.

We invite you to join us in remembering the life of Gari, who passed away on the 9th of December 2025. Please join us on the 29th of December 2025 at 10:00AM at Swansea Crematorium for a service where we will celebrate his life and say our goodbyes.
Guests are welcome to wear colors should they prefer; no mourning attire needed.
Family flowers only. Those who wish may make a donation to PANTRY Foodbank (www.pantryfoodbank.org/donate.html).

Gary looked after me in the convent 59 years ago and I never forgot him, he was kind in a very cold place wen we went down the dungeons for dinner. I saw only twice in 50 years and he always remembered me. The best.
