StephenMCINTYREOf Helmshore passed away peacefully at home on November 14, aged 92. Devoted husband of Margaret, dearly loved father of Ann, Rosemary, Celia, Claire, Helen, Fiona, Damian, Carmel and Ewan and the late John. Much-loved father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother to Tony, Laura and Janet. Stephen spent most of his working life as a Probation Officer in the East Lancashire area, finishing his career as a Senior Probation Officer at the Accrington Office. An active member of St Mary's RC Church, he loved music and for many years was a member of the choir. He had a keen interest in marching bands and made his own detailed models. He loved Rossendale and spent most of his life in the valley, and could often be seen walking round Helmshore with his wife when he retired. Stephen's funeral will be held at St Mary's Church on Friday, December 5 at 11am. Family flowers only. Donations in Stephen's memory are welcomed for Maundy Relief.
