Auntie Ellie,

I can’t believe you’re gone. I miss you so much already. Not knowing that the last time I came over to see you was the last time I was going to see you, breaks my heart.

I’m going to miss coming over to your house to see you. You would always offer me a biscuit or a chocolate and would tell me stories about when you and Grandad were growing up. I will forever cherish all the stories you’ve told me over the years.

Knowing I still have a voicemail saved from you, makes me happy to know that I can still listen to your voice.

You were the most incredible great auntie, you brought so much happiness, love and laughter to our lives.

Thank you for everything you’ve done for me and the rest of the family over the years.

Rest in peace Auntie Ellie, love you always.

Sister and Sister in Law.

You were so much more than a big sister, you were my second mother. The hole you have left will be impossible to fill.
We owe you so much for the love, time, advice, caring
and happiness you gave, not only to us, but to everyone.
I am so thankful that I got to say my goodbyes before it was too late, and that I was able to tell you how much I loved you, while you were still relatively well.
Rest in peace darling, and I hope that all the things you hoped for become true for you.

You will always live on in our memory.

Your baby brother Paul and Sister in Law Kim.

Mum-in-law

Some people come into your life by name,
but love is what makes family the same.
You may have been my mum-in-law to start,
but you quickly became a mum in my heart.

Through all the years, more than thirty and more,
your kindness was something I always felt sure of.
You welcomed me in with warmth and grace,
and always made me feel I had a place.

You listened with patience, never in haste,
never a moment of love gone to waste.
If worries were heavy or days felt long,
you’d hear every word and help me stay strong.

Your heart was gentle, steady and true,
a caring soul in all that you’d do.
You gave your love without demand,
always ready with a helping hand.

Faith was the light that guided your way,
a quiet strength in each passing day.
Your prayers rose softly into the night,
full of hope and warmth and light.

And when heaven called you home above,
it welcomed a woman so full of love.
Though we must live here missing you,
the kindness you gave will carry us through.

Because love like yours will never depart,
it stays forever in each grateful heart.
And I will always be thankful it's true,
that life gave me a second mum in you.
