I first met Betty when I was still in primary school and have not seen her for a very long time. Nevertheless I remember my older sister-in-law with great fondness.
My vey first days spent away from home were in exotic Manchester and Marston Green, Birmingham staying with Betty, John and their young family.
As I was growing up Betty seemed very different to most of the adult women I had known. She was to me, a lovely, friendly, educated and very ‘Arty’ woman. I know she has had a lot of pleasure from her artistic pursuits over the years.
I hope that now she is no longer with them John, Mick and Claire will take comfort in remembering the good times spent with her.
