RosalindGEEof Haslingden passed away peacefully at home on June 23, aged 83.

The beloved wife of Mike and much-loved Mum of Natalie and Melissa.

She leaves behind beloved granddaughters, Hollie and husband Alex, Lauren and partner Patrick,
Annabelle, Andrea and Georgia. Also Mike's son Christian and wife Samm and grandchildren Pippa, Jemima
and Dougal. Also her brother Paul.

Roz was born and brought up in Hertfordshire by her mum Rose Seaby.
She had a very happy childhood, one highlight of which was, as a teenager, being chosen the
Carnival Queen of Letchworth.
She married and became Roz Seward setting up home in Surrey where first Natalie and then Melissa were born.
In the mid seventies they moved to Lancashire to a new house in Knowl Meadow, Helmshore.
The following years were very happy ones for the family growing up in a young vibrant community.
Roz became much involved with St Thomas Church where she was a Girl Guide leader. On leaving school Roz
became a legal secretary. When returning to work she joined Cotton & Garnet, Solicitors in Haslingden.
After a year or two, Roz moved to Lancashire County Council Social Services as a senior administrator based in Rawtenstall. Her final career move was into training, a role she excelled at. She travelled all over the county visiting establishments to support the learning and development of staff and managers. She had great interpersonal skills which she used to great effect especially in her voluntary work with Victims Support.
Roz had life long love of singing and was a very active member of Rossendale Amateur Operatic Society
performing in many shows at the old Public Hall. It was here that she met Mike and they married in Florida in 1990. They enjoyed 36 very happy years together especially after their retirements when they were able to buy a condo in Florida and enjoy winter sunshine each year. Their other joint passion was golf and Roz was a very proud Lady Captain of Rossendale Golf Club in 2004.

Roz's funeral will be held at St Thomas Musbury on Tuesday, July 7 at 11.30am.
Donations in Roz's memory are being collected for Rossendale Hospice.
