John NeilsonFRODSHAMPeacefully whilst in the loving care of Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, surrounded by his family. John aged 85 years of Cleethorpes.

Dearly loved husband of Susan. Loving dad of Louise and Simon. Dear father-in-law of Tony. Treasured grandad of Isabelle, Rio and Tom. Very dearly loved and respected by all his family and friends and will be very sadly missed.

The service is to take place at Grimsby Crematorium on Thursday 22nd January 2026 at 9:45am.

John is resting at Alexanders Funeral Care, Alexander House, 70 Carr Lane, Grimsby, DN32 8JP.

Family flowers only please by request or if so desired donations in lieu made payable to the Health Tree Foundation on the following link tinyurl.com/bdz8xz5u

Living in Australia prevented my younger brother and I experiencing a true family relationship. We corresponded regularly and the relationship we had will be treasured and not forgotten. Older brother, Arthur.

So sorry to hear of John's passing. I have fond memories of my swimming lessons with him almost 40 years ago and remember him being so fun and energetic. Rest in peace John.

Uncle Jock, distance prevented me spending much time with you, but I will always cherish my visit to the UK and meeting you and the family.
