Happily we did not need direct support from the RNLI over our Years Sailing Dragons however I do remember the day of the Cowes Torbay motorboat race which coincided with Brixham Regatta and Thick Fog. We were stranded the wrong side of of a Bay which was too dangerous to cross, the fleet of Dragons were escorted around the perimeter of the Torbay to the Buzzing sound of the last of the highspeed boats many of which ended up on beeches or Rocks.
