A Legend is used numerous times to describe someone, but George was just that. I was so lucky to be his "Son" for 30 precious years. To me, he wasn't just a Father in Law, he was my Partner in Crime and my Best Friend.
We had so many holidays together, so many laughs, so many happy memories.
It was an honour to carry you on your final journey alongside your Grandsons and the Grandson in Laws
Sleep well George, you'll always be in my heart forevermore.
You left one hell of a legacy with your Children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, and I'll make sure the memories and stories live on. Love and miss you mate 💔

To my beautiful Dad.
I am broken hearted and do not know what I will do without you.
I will miss our morning chats discussing Coronation Street and Emmerdale. I will miss our holidays and our days out in the pub.
There are so many things that will never be the same without you.
You were my best friend and I cherish every single second I spent with you.
I promise I will love you forever and will still speak of you every day. I will make sure your memory will live on.
You will be with me everywhere I go.
I was so very lucky to have the best Dad in the world.
I know you will be with Mum and Lee now. Please hug them from me. Knowing you are reunited is the only small comfort I have.
Sleep tight Dad until we meet again.
Legends never die
I love you Dad
Debbie xxxx

Uncle George. A giant of a man when we were small, and a true gentleman when we were grown. Funny, always well dressed, loved his family and maybe the occasional pint. Fantastic memories of easter bonnet parades in Hull, my dad and George having a pint and a laugh and great days out. You will be greatly missed Uncle George. Buy Keith a pint when you see him x.

Dear Uncle George.

I wish I had known you better. But the last few days have been a crash course in who you were, and what I learned is this: you were deeply loved.

I heard about the uncle who told the best stories, who showed up, who made people feel at home. A life well lived isn't measured by how long we knew someone, it's measured by the love left behind. And by that measure, you lived fully.

You lived a life that mattered to the people around you. You built a family that speaks of you with pride. You left friendships that are still standing. That’s a legacy.

Rest easy, Uncle George. To Debbie, Carol and family, my deepest sympathy, know that I am thinking of you and I pray for God to comfort you and strengthen you for the days and years ahead. All my love Zoe.
