Karen and Julie,
What a life. Brian was a legend. The fact that the Aberavon Green Stars rugby team paused for a moment of silence in his honor says so much about the mark he left behind.

I remember Uncle Brian as a man of endless passions and remarkable curiosity — someone who seemed able to offer a thoughtful, informed take on just about anything. When we were kids, he was our rugby coach, and being family never earned us any leniency. He worked us hard, running us up and down the field until we were completely winded. Then, with a grin, he’d tell us to put our hands behind our heads and take a deep breath — insisting it would “taste like wine.”

Wine, of course, was another subject he knew well. He brewed his own, including a famously potent elderberry concoction best approached with caution.

I keep thinking of the words of Dr. Seuss: “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”

RIP Brian x

Brian, a lovely humble man who will be missed by his family and all who knew him. My prayers go out to you all. He is now in the arms of Jesus whom he served all his life.
I’m so happy to have grown up knowing my cousin Brian.

A smashing human being who happened to be a Devout Roman Catholic! Brian is a humble man and his family can be rightfully proud of him as he lived the life of a good man! God Bless your soul Brian and prayers to your family; Gods garden just bloomed another of the shining lights of the faithful.
