The obituary notice of David Bernard DEERE

Dear Johanna

As you know, David was my cousin, son of uncle Bernard and aunty Geraldine, my mother Peggy's sister.

We spent much of our childhood together but after my family left Cardiff in 1966 we only met on a few occasions - the most memorable occasion being Michael and Andrea's wedding.

David visited my brother Anthony many years ago when Ant was in hospital after a serious operation. His visits were greatly appreciated.
Just over a year ago, Anthony met with him again at our aunty Thomasina's funeral: Thomasina was Geraldine's and Peggy's other sister.

David and I have only messaged each other in recent years on WhatsApp and a few months ago he sent me pictures of some family mementoes of our grandmother Frances's sisters, Marjorie and Julia.

Uncle Bernard and aunty Geraldine visited Italy, where I live, several times and it was always a great pleasure to meet up with them and hear news of their beloved children and grandchildren.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Johanna, in this time of sadness and loss. I shall be thinking of you on the 2nd and hope to participate in the Mass online.

RIP Dave. Condolences to Johanna and family. So sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. Dave was a good boss when I worked for EMB. Thinking of you all. Kim xxx
