Jill and my mother, Blanche Gadian, were colleagues in the French department at Brigg Girls High School in the late sixties and into the seventies. A family friendship was formed that will continue through Jill’s son, Matthew.
Even after my parents retired and moved away from the area, they’d come back at Christmas and have a festive meal with friends, including Jill, at a local hotel.
In more recent times, we have many happy memories meeting up for lunch with Jill on our way up to the North West.
Jill was a dedicated teacher and a talented musician.
We will miss her.
May she rest in peace
