Melvyn StuartBAWNPeacefully at home surrounded by his family on 17th November 2025 following a long illness. Mel was the special and loved husband and soulmate of Rosaleen Ann (nee Kerrigan), devoted and loved dad to Melanie and James, and a fantastic and adored Grandpa to Alex, Charlotte and Emily. Precious and only child of the late Clarice and Jim, dear father-in-law to Alistair and Claire, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend.

Mel's funeral will take place on Friday 19th December at 2.00pm at Huddersfield Crematorium. Please feel free to wear bright colours. Family flowers only please but donations in lieu, if desired, are to be shared between The Kirkwood and Dementia UK c/o Radcliffe Funeral Service, 16 Westgate, Honley, Holmfirth, HD9 6AA, online at radcliffefuneralservice.co.uk - obituaries or a donation box will be available at the service. Will friends please accept this intimation and meet at the Crematorium.

I'm so sorry to see this sad news. I remember Mr Bawn as an absolutely calming influence when he taught at Royds Hall School. I am sure many other former pupils will remember him as a lovely and kind gentleman.
