I’ll miss bumping into you in town, Bryan. You always had that kind, knowing look that said more than words ever could. Without saying much, I think we both recognised how much we missed Holly, and somehow found comfort in that shared silence. You carried her memory with grace and warmth, and every time I saw you, it reminded me of her too. Rest well, Bryan—you were a good man, and it was a privilege to have known you.

I have known Bryan since the days of McCorquodale Printers.
Where my Brother Keith also worked closely with Bryan, and we both have happy memories of him.

I was fortunate to know Bryan and Sheila and spend some time with them over the years during their beloved daughter Holly's hospitalisation and following her death. I knew Holly (and her best friend Sally) as a good friend from Reading University. Whilst it was lovely to meet Bryan and Sheila over that time and see first hand their love and support for Holly, I'm sad that knowing them was through her tragedy. I remember Bryan as a kind man, generous and caring - someone who enjoyed the local area for walking and nature and horse racing! I remember a walk on Alderley Edge with him, Sheila and Sally. I recall his calm nature and his gentleness. I'm sad to learn of his passing and will hold him in my heart on 6th June. With love Dr Emma Ramsden (South London)

We always fell out over 'politics' but were friends for many years, Sheila was the same age as me and in the same 'Thrush House' and form at NAGS from the age of eleven. Bryan and I had many lunches together over the years and he came over to our house on a number of Boxing Days. When Sheila was alive the four of us including my wife enjoyed great meals out and a couple of lovely trips abroad to Porto and Granada.
Life was cruel to him. Without question years ago he was by far the funniest guy in the group and we would often try to encourage him in becoming a stand up comedian! He was that good.
Losing Holly and Sheila in such a cruel way 'knocked the stuffing out of him' but his dry sense of humour never left him.
I am sure that he has now found peace.
