Passed 22nd October 2025 at Fleet Hall, Care Home, Fleet.
Pearl passed away peacefully in her sleep in the peace and quiet of her own bedroom overlooked by a beautiful mature tree which was full of the wonderful colours of Autumn.
Pearl moved to Aldershot during the war where she met and married Ray Bannister. From her marriage to Ray she leaves two children (Yvonne and Kevin), three grandchildren (Jess and Richard not forgetting James who got his wings far too early) and three great grandchildren (Sophia, Alexander and Imogen).
When Ray passed away suddenly, Pearl re-married Gordon Stockham, here she leaves two stepchildren (Cheryl and Philip), three grandchildren (Brett, Mark and Jason) and one great grandchild (Megan).
She enjoyed adventures and part of that was moving to the West Country where she was back near her beloved sea. She also hunted down Gordon's wartime friend in Greece and then reuniting them on a surprise trip.
In recent year she moved back to Aldershot to be near remaining family and reconnecting with old friends and those from the GPO.
Wherever she is now Kevin and I hope they will make allowances for her really bad sense of direction, which cause many laughs for those that knew and loved her.
The funeral will be held at Holy Trinity Church, Windsor Way, Aldershot (where she and Ray married in 1945) on 19th November 2025 at 1pm. Followed by a wake at Kingsley Court, Windsor Way, Aldershot. There is limited parking at the church. No brownie points for anyone wearing black.
