Eric's Funeral has remained uppermost in my mind for some weeks, not least because it conveyed his love of music. As a small child I recall Eric introducing me to his wonderful radiogram at the cottage in Syde. I could only just peer over the top and he would delight me by playing, Max Bygraves, "I'm a Pink Tooth Brush, Your a Blue Tooth Brush". Poor Eric I don't think I ever gave him a moments peace after that and was forever wanting him to show me this magic piece of equipment. All overseen I might add by their adorable black cat, Tanya, who looked upon children, disapprovingly. He was an amazing Uncle and we enjoyed many an adventure around Syde Village. Later in life we worked together for Co-op electrical, delivering Colour tv's when they were still very much a novelty. Happy times. The last of my parents generation in the family to pass.
