It's nice to put a face to a name, our Meet the Team blog series does just that.
As part of Reach Plc, funeral-notices.co.uk have been publishing notices in local newspapers for over 100 years. Amelia has been a key part of the team here at Funeral Notices for almost 12 years.
When not at work, Amelia loves spending time with her family and is blessed to live by the sea. The beach is her happy place. Life is very busy as Amelia has a young family, but when she can, she enjoys good food with her good friends.
Organisation is Amelia's passion: in both home life and work life and is something she excels at.
Amelia is part of the Customer Service team at the Contact Centre, looking after customers from across the business including Funeral Directors for the Funeral Notices team and newspaper sales customers for the Customer Contact Team. The Customer Service team is managed by
Elaine Nippress, reporting to Director
Darren Minns - who oversees the whole department.
When asked what her role involves, Amelia said:
"In a nut shell, I resolve queries for customers and colleagues. I liaise closely with operators on the Private Team, Funeral Notices Team, Public Notices Team, Finance Team and Management Team - this can involve private family/funeral notices, Funeral Director booking/invoice queries, a customer selling a car, escalated complaints and finance queries."
The favourite part of Amelia's role is helping customers and resolving challenging queries. The Customer Services team comprises a small team, each with excellent customer service and resolution skills. They provide invaluable support to every team within the Contact Centre.
Amelia enjoys being part of this team:
"The Customer Services Team works extremely hard to maintain a first class level of service. I'm lucky to work with a team who sing from the same hymn sheet, but have a sense of humour too."
Although their work is challenging, Amelia understands the importance of the work we do, at what can be a difficult time for our customers. Her sensitivity, compassion and dedication means her contribution to the customer experience is invaluable.
A huge part of Amelia's work is in ensuring families and Funeral Directors are 100% satisfied with the notices they add to funeral-notices.co.uk. Amelia believes the website is a great resource for people following the loss of a loved one. She said:
"The website contains a plethora of information for readers which can be invaluable following the loss of a loved one. From which Funeral Directors are in your area, to what to write in a notice, it really does have it all.
"Funeral-notices.co.uk is fantastic platform for customers to remember loved ones in a sensitive and respectful manner."
Speaking of how the platform helps Funeral Directors, Amelia said:
"Funeral-notices.co.uk can help Funeral Directors in various ways as its a platform ideal for their market. It can include direct contact information for their branch (advertising), promotional features, online donation tools and features which mean they are able to amend/update notices within minutes."
