In memory of Michael on behalf of my late wife Kate Smith (ne John)
He was a lovely friendly and helpful man and in his younger days in the 1960s came down to Chattafin Farm Exbourne to help at haymaking time, but also played football with the 4 girls and became a real friend of the family coming down to watch wrestling and football on the TV with us. He remained a friend even after the family moved away, helping us to stay in touch with what was going on in Exbourne and at Chattafin after we left, and meeting up when ever we visited Exbourne.
