Donald AlexanderWITHERSThe larger-than-life Don passed away peacefully at his care home on Thursday June 1 2023 after a period of ill health. Widower to Lynn after a 62-year marriage, father of Paul and Simon, grandfather to Kay, Sami and Ashley, great-grandfather to Kaitlyn, Reegan, Roman-Jac and Nellie. In accordance with his wishes his body was left to medical science, but there will be a celebration of his life at Hampset Cricket Club at midday on Friday 7 July, on what would have been his 89th birthday. No flowers please. Donations in memory of Don can be made to the British Heart Foundation. The family can be contacted at [email protected]

Fond memories of playing skittles with Don for the Dropwires over many years. Such a character. He touched the hearts of everyone he met. My condolences to Simon, Shirley and the rest of Don’s family.
