Colin JohnWHITENIt's with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Colin John Whiten, aged 79 on Sunday 23rd May 2010. Much loved husband to Pearl, Dad to Mitch and Belle (Ellen), Father-in-Law to Hayley and Andrew, Grumps to Amelia and Maisie and Dunks to Grace. Funeral to be held at Streetly Crematorium at 3.30 p.m. on Friday 4th June 2010. Family flowers only. Donations made payable to UNICEF or Help The Aged via Ian Hazel Funerals Ltd, 5 Belwell Lane, Sutton Coldfield, B74 4AA.

So she did it... your little Gracie got a training contract with one of the best law firms in the world! I know how proud you are. You have been with her throughout, keeping her going and being her biggest cheerleader. She is so like you, funny, hard working, sarcastic... I see you in her daily. I miss you. I'd give anything to have an hour chatting, hearing your words of wisdom, finishing off with a big Dunksie cuddle. Love you xxx

So Gracie wore your bright yellow and blue fleece to collect her exam results! She smashed it and got straight A's! Not like you and me eh? We know you know as all your signs were there. She even got 44.4 in one of her papers! I miss you so so much, what i would give to have a chat and a big Dunksie cuddle. Love you Dad xxxxx

Thinking about you today as I do everyday.
Gracie still talks about you all the time and wraps herself in your fleece when she needs a dunksie cuddle. She has joined sea rangers - you'd have been so proud of her at remembrance parade

Hope you're happy and have Tabatha, Kirsty and Thunder safely with you.

A year on


It's been a year now, there have been good times, not so good times and many sad times. I miss you at all those times. We have wonderful children who also miss you but have kept me afloat. I wont let you or them down.I'll get on with life as you would want, need, expect. Love.
