BettyWETHERELLPeacefully at rest on Tuesday 18th July 2023 whilst in the very loving care of all the staff at Hempstalls Hall Care Home, Newcastle. Betty, aged 89 years, devoted wife of the late Eric, loving and much loved mum of Hazel and Neil, proud grandma of Tom, Olivia and Charlie, treasured mum-in-law to John and Denise, and a dear sister-in-law to Les and Jackie. Betty will be deeply and sadly missed but fondly remembered by all her loving family, her many friends, especially amongst the Girl Guiding Community which played a big part in her life. A private family service at Bradwell Crematorium will be followed by a service of Thanksgiving for Betty's wonderful life at St Andrew's Church, Westlands on Wednesday 23rd August at 12 noon. Would all those wishing to attend please meet at the Church. Family flowers only please by request, donations appreciated in memory of Betty for Alzheimer's Research UK, c/o the funeral directors.
