Six years down and what can be said that hasn't been said before? Time passes. I think by keeping busy the pain takes a back seat. And then something pops up to shatter you all over again. By now you should have taken me places I’d not been and we should have travelled on exotic trains. You should have been here helping me with your walls but you’re not. It’s so not fair! XOX

I was out just before dawn the other day listening to the birds. There were magpies, kookaburras and an unknown bird - no “hoo” birds! I was desperately trying to remember what you called birds - big birds and little birds in some African language - but I just couldn’t. And after 4 years it can still hit out of the blue and it hurts so much. If only you were here… XOXO
