CyrilWEDLAKEaged 91 years. Dearly loved husband of Dorothy (nee Myers), passed away peacefully at home after a serious illness bravely borne. Leaving Lynne (Daughter), Chris, Andy, Joanne, Kath, Christine, Steve and families. Grandchildren Ben and Jonathon and Great Grandchildren Max and Felix. A private funeral service will take place at Wear Valley Crematorium on Monday 17th May 2021 at 1.30pm.

I’m saddened to learn of Cyril’s death. I first met him in the early 1970s, at the beautiful house he’d built. He & his wife gave me a radio for my birthday - I have it still & it sounds great. I didn’t see him again until I worked briefly at BBC Cleveland, when I bumped into him doing some electrical contracting. He was a lovely man.
My sincere condolences to his family.
