AlanWADEIt is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Alan on October 1st 2025, aged 70 years, at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham, surrounded by his loving family who cared and supported him throughout his long and brave battle with Lymphoma. He showed huge positivity and immense courage during his treatment journey.

The devoted and much loved husband and soulmate of Gill, loving and caring dad of Gemma, Chris and Dan, wonderful father in law to Mark, Lynsey and Tori, proud and loving grandad and best friend to Isaac and gan gan to Alfred. A very special brother to Ann and a loving brother in law and uncle.
Alan enjoyed the company of his many friends, who he valued greatly and who will miss him dearly.

He was the heart of his precious family. He will be incredibly missed and never forgotten.

Funeral service at St Peter's Church, Caverswall on Tuesday 28th October at 11:30am, followed by interment at Buxton Road Cemetery, Leek. Would relatives and friends kindly meet at the Church.

Family flowers only please , donations preferred for Blood Cancer UK or towards supplying equipment to support patients, and their relatives, on Ward 201 at the Cancer Centre at the RSUH. A place and a team of staff that gave so much in the care of Alan.

Thinking of you all at this incredibly sad time. Alan was a unique, remarkable man and very special friend. We feel so lucky to have had him in our life for over 45 years. He had such a wonderful appreciation of life and a deep love for Gill and his family who meant the world to him. We have some lovely memories of Alan and of many happy times spent together with you all. We will miss him greatly. He will never be forgotten.

Sending Gill, Chris, Gemma, Dan, your partners and families so much love and strength.
