Steve was an inspirational colleague, manager and friend. I worked with him for over forty years in the many manifestations of the Careers Service and was always energised and motivated by his fantastic ideas and immense enthusiasm for improving the lives of young people. My sympathies to all of Steve’s family, he will be sadly missed and never forgotten.

Steve was such a wonderful man and will be missed so much.

You were a fantastic husband to my Mum, and you were a brilliant, loving Grandad to our twin boys. They really did idolise you

You were a role model to us both in how to live life to the full and you always brightened our day.
