Dearest Charlotte, I’m so sorry to have missed you by phone & not to be at your funeral since I don’t live locally as you know so didn’t see the notice.
You were 1 remarkable woman, cherished especially by me for your stalwart support of your cousin when she was in Willox Park latterly.
I remember from childhood the laughter & joyous energy there always was when you & Nan would ‘pop in’.
And too when you again ‘popped in’ with Jimmy and sat beaming while simply letting your engagement ring tell us your news.
Part of your remarkableness was your memory up until the last year or so as well as how fiercely independent you were & how you were as sharp minded each time we’d go out for a meal before you became ill.
I remember you over the decades always beautifully turned out, hugely committed to your church & choir which made a big impression on me. Also that your holidays always sounded like you’d had a ball each time.
You were to me a wonderful ‘one off’ and I sincerely hope you’re now at peace with Jimmy, Uncle Johnnie, Aunt Mamie & all the rest of the family having a good old catch up.
All my love & in gratitude for your life, Jean xxx
