AndrewSHERIFFRobert 'Andy' Much loved son, brother, uncle and friend. Passed away suddenly at his home on the 24th March 2018. Tears are proof of life, the more the love, the more the tears. A funeral service to be held at Markeaton Crematorium (main chapel) on Wednesday 18th April at 2:40pm. Family flowers only please, however if desired, donations to Cleft Lip and Palate Association and Smile Train, may be given at the service. All enquiries to Co-operative Funeralcare, 3-5 Southview, Littleover, Derby DE23 6FP. Tel 01332 332302.

He sat next to me on his first day at Rolls Royce. Within ten minutes we were talking like we'd known each other for years, that was Andy. Wore his heart on his sleeve, did Andy. We'd get talking and he'd suddenly point to the hairs on his arms standing on end and "say look at that". Unfortunately I never kept in touch after I left Derby but I still feel immense loss on hearing this. You were a great guy Andy and you will be missed.

Such a loss. I remember him calling round for Andy and having a cuppa and asking
"Miss Babs have you done the crossword yet?" he would then proceed to do the crossword and read my newspaper whilst he waited for Andy and Tim so they could go of on another escapade together. Bless you Andy for being such a good friend to Andy and Tim. We will always remember you with happy memories and smiles!

Andy (or Omar as his RAF buddies knew him) was blessed with a sharp wit and sense of humour borne of great intelligence. A modest man who would always raise the spirits of those around him even in the most adverse of conditions.

You may have slipped the surly bonds of earth and be dancing the skies on laughter-silvered wings but you have been taken far too too early. Rest in Peace Omar, your star will always burn in those that had the honour of knowing you. Scotty
