Absolutely devastated to read this, I lost touch with Vanessa after moving away for university, we found each other again briefly on social media but didn’t get to meet up. I remember her beautiful voice, infectious laugh and sense of fun. Her kindness and sheer enjoyment of life. She was a beautiful person inside and out. I’m so glad I got to spend at least a few years with her as a friend. Thinking of all her family and friends xx

It's only when googling my old friend that I learned about this terrible news. We were at college together – a formative time of our lives and Vanessa was always the cheerful, optimistic and of course talented one amongst our gang. My heart goes out to Vanessa's family.
