I have lived in Western Australia since 2004.
I found the sad news of Barry’s passing when trying to find his whereabouts today for a possible catch up.
Barry was my Supervisor and mentor at SGB (Scaffolding Great Britain) when I joined as a 17 year old in 1974.
We worked together until I left around 1980.
Barry didn’t suffer fools gladly and was a hard task master in the first years at SGB but we just hit it off.
I have many fond memories of our working and social relationship.
Lumber jacking on our weekends off with the chainsaws or waiting with a shotgun at sunrise for the geese to fly over.
Sorry I missed you mate.
