Private funeral service on Monday 26th July at Bishopthorpe Crematorium, York. David was educated at the Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Carmarthen and Swansea University, before being appointed Head of English at the Winifred Portland Grammar School and Head of Liberal Studies at the North Notts Technical College.
