RickNESSPassed away unexpectedly at Castle Hill Hospital on the 20th July 2025 surrounded by his family.

Fiancé to Caroline. Dad to Katie, Millie and Loren. Beloved Brother, Uncle and Grandad. He will be sadly missed by all.

Funeral service to be held at Haltemprice Crematorium on Tuesday 12th August 2025 at 11:30am, followed by a celebration of his life at Darleys, Boothferry Road, Hessle.

Family flowers only please but donations welcome to Queen's Centre for Oncology and Haematology at Castle Hill Hospital, collection plate at service.

Resting at John Parkin & Son, 3 Saltshouse Road. Tel. 376104.

Rest in peace, Rick. You were a true gentleman in every sense of the word — kind, generous, and always ready to help others. I feel so fortunate and grateful to have been able to call you a friend.

My heart goes out to Caroline, the girls, and all of your family during this incredibly difficult time. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers, and I hope you can find comfort in the love, respect, and warm memories so many of us hold for Rick.

I think I echo everyone sentiments when I say what a huge loss. Rick appeared to be brusque a lot of the time but he had a real soft centre. He has been taken too early , deepest sympathy to Caroline, Millie,Katie and Rick’s family. I have lost a dear friend who will be sadly missed but not forgotten. Neil.xx Rest in peace. Linda.x

Rick was one of life’s true gentlemen, a good friend as well as a boss, he would do anything for anyone and will be greatly missed.

Taken so suddenly and far too soon.

So sorry Caroline and girls, we are thinking of you , love Louis & Mandy
