I first met Sheila 21 years ago, when I first started working at the Hollies. She was kind, open friendly and made me feel welcome frome day 1. She was my mentor and taught me so much. I last saw her a few months ago. Big smile, warm hug, asking after myself and my son. That is what I will always remember. I am so, so sorry for your loss. Sunshine Haskell

I feel truly grateful to have known and worked with Sheila. When I was Sheila’s teaching assistant, she was so much more than a colleague she was an inspiration. Sheila always encouraged me to follow my dreams and believed in me, even in moments when I doubted myself. Thanks to her constant support and gentle encouragement, I continued on my path and am now teaching, something I know she was proud of.

What made Sheila so special wasn’t just her dedication to her work, but the warmth and kindness she showed to everyone around her. She always asked after my daughter Amelia (or “Millie” as Sheila would call her) taking a genuine interest in our lives beyond the classroom. That’s just the kind of person Sheila was — caring, thoughtful, and with a heart of pure gold. Sheila touched so many lives, and I feel blessed that mine was one of them. Sending love and strength to all Sheila’s family xxx

Dearest Sheila. A friend since birth!
I shall miss meeting up locally for chats and catch ups. Our families intertwined for many years and we shared much history
I will cherish the time we spent together recently especially sharing stories of our past
