Jacqueline MaryMORANMrs Jacqueline Mary Moran of Springfield Avenue, Bacup died in Pendleside Hospice on Saturday, December 17, aged 76 years. A service will be held at the Chapel of Rest on Thursday, December 29 at 11am, followed by interment in Whitworth Cemetery at 11.45 am, conducted by Miss Gemma Rooke. Born in Whitworth, Jacqueline came to live in Bacup after her marriage and lived there for the rest of her life. She was employed as a machinist in the shoe trade for various manufacturers for many years. Jacqueline enjoyed travelling and had been to America to see Elvis Presley’s home Gracelands. She also enjoyed karaoke and socialising with her friends and was a well-known Bacup character. Mother of the late Angela, she leaves sons Andrew, Patrick, Damian and Ciaran, daughters Catherine and Carmel and their partners, 12 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, sister Maureen, nephews, nieces and many friends.
