Iris Christine AnnieMEARSAt rest on Sunday 1st June 2025, whilst at the Royal Stoke University Hospital, Iris aged 93 years of Newstead formerly of Dilhorne.

A much loved mum of Kevin, Paula, Paul, Alan and the late Ann, treasured mother-in-law of Barry, Helen and Warren, cherished nana of Sindy, Emily, Joshua, Daniel, Ben, Guy and Kirk, great-nana, much loved partner of the late John and sadly missed by Kath and friends.

Iris will be sadly missed by all her loving family and friends.

Funeral service to take place at Carmountside Crematorium on Monday 23rd June at 1pm. Family flowers only by request please, donations preferred in memory of Iris to Cancer Research UK and the R.S.P.C.A.

Iris had a great sense of humour but was very keen on traditional & formal attire on funerals, therefore if you could avoid wearing jeans or t-shirts it would be most appreciated.

So sad to hear of the passing of Iris. I had known you since before l left school. Worked with you occasionally, had a good few nights out, with you and the "ladies from the bakery" and enjoyed your company, whilst enjoying a brew at your bungalow. You were a good friend to both my mum (Jean) and myself, and l hope that you rest peacefully in eternal sleep. XX
