My Last goodbye.

I can't believe you went on the same day you came,
My life as been torn apart and will never be the same.

You even had your birthday cards. beside you unread,
So I know you got your wish you'll go at home in bed.

I will always remember you gave me fun and laughter,
Like the time you wore two left shoes and only noticed long after.

Like when we played Golf with you, Ron and me,
We did have so much fun, mostly, when your ball was on your Tee.

You were not known for hitting the ball high,
So there was moments in game's that made me cry.

Like when there was that 10 foot wall to clear, you were down hearted,
We were in stitches because the ball went further back than it started.

Then there was a Lake to pass where you must of had a four leaf clover,
Because one swing later and 10 skims on the water, it did go over.

When we played darts with you, me, jackie and Jord,
When you put perspex up because Jackie missed the board.

It must run in the family when you hit the wall,
It makes me laugh when you can throw a dart higher than a golf ball,

I can go on and on all day about good times that I had,
So I'll keep them to myself until someone says "tell me about your Dad".

The last few months were the worst of your life,
I know you were proud of your kids especially your wife.

You were looked after by Mum through thick and thin,
So from me, Jackie and Jayne, Thank you Mum from within.

It's going to be hard to live without you mate, but I will try,
So... there is only one thing for me say.. it's my last goodbye.

So goodbye to the best husband, Dad, grandad and brother,
So go follow the angels and wait for me with your father and mother.

Thank you for all the fun,
I will always love & miss you from your Son xx
