The obituary notice of John Collins KELLY

It is with a sad heart, I put pen to paper. Aunt Yvonne and Uncle John have always been special to me. They welcomed me into their home when I returned from living in Canada, and when grown up and married, again living in Canada, Harry and I were always welcomed into their home, every time we returned to Scotland to visit family and friends.
Uncle John would regale us with stories of his days when he worked as a projectionist and his time when in The Middle East in the armed forces. Uncle John would share his stories about when he had his own business as a heating engineer. All of these experiences are what perhaps led him to writing. Harry and I are fortunate to have his first book that was published ; and when we visited last September Uncle John gave us a copy of his short stories that weren’t as yet published.
Uncle John will be greatly missed. Our love goes out to Aunt Yvonne, Mark,Andrew, Sophie and Corene.

Sending infinite love to you all. I never had the pleasure of meeting John, but knowing Mark and his love for his friends & family, John rest well.

May the nourishment of the earth be yours,
may the clarity of light be yours,
may the fluency of the ocean be yours,
may the protection of the ancestors be yours.

In my 30s I set out to find my Dad and also discovered my uncle John. John helped me have a positive relationship with Dad.
I am eternally grateful for everything that Uncle John & Auntie Yvonne did and to be a part of their family.
I really valued having such a lovely uncle, who will be sorely missed.
