I met up with some old school buddies last night and was shocked to hear that David had past away. Such a funny person, skilled footballer...I think he got a game with High Spen Juniors when he was like 10 years old. I remember also hitting golf balls from one side of High Spen football pitch to the other when Gateshead council turned up to paint the goal posts. We didn't stop hitting the golf balls...it was David's turn, he hit the ball...it was heading straight towards one of the council workers who was now painting the cross bar from a set of ladders...the ball went straight into the tin of paint. We were shouted at and as we ran away the council painter shouted...it's effing landed in the paint. What a talent!.

RIP Tubby. My deepest condolences go out to David's family and friends.

Mark "Bootsy" Graham.
