DavidHAWKESWith great sadness, we announce that David passed away peacefully at his home in Healing on 8th February 2025, aged 84, after a long illness. He was a beloved husband, father, grandad and cherished friend to many.
A funeral service will be held at Grimsby Crematorium on Monday, 3rd March 2025 at 11:15am.
In lieu of flowers, donations to The British Heart Foundation are welcome. A collection box will be available at the service.

So sad to hear this ,a true gentleman, he was popular with the children he taught and was always ready to listen and help,he was a good support to me whilst working at Havelock I will never forget his kindness. Condolences to his family.

Sad to hear of David's death. We shared many days teaching children and young people but more importantly so many days trying to educate them. There are many stories of our times at Havelock and at St James's, probably best however to remember David and his guitar at Havelock when he got the whole school singing. Bye David.
