HenryGRIMSHAWIt is with great sadness we announce, that on Monday 18th December, Harry Grimshaw, aged 84 years, peacefully passed away with his daughters by his side. Harry was the loving husband of the late Irene, much loved father to Lesley, Anne and Susan, father in law to Craig and Phillip, sadly missed grandad of Matthew, Lucy, Dominic & Hannah, cherished great grandfather of Esmae, a very dear brother to Betty and the late Margaret. Harry was born in Oswaldtwistle to Master Butcher Henry & Rose Grimshaw. He went to Hutton Agricultural College, and by 22 years of age, he was running his own farm at Bumper Hall, then Rhoden Farm and finally Harry moved to Greenacres 1986, where he had kennels for his racing greyhounds. Harry was a licensed trainer at Sheffield until only a few weeks ago. Greyhound racing was his passion, he had greyhounds all his adult life, and through his passion he met some wonderful people, that became true friends.
Harry’s funeral will be held at Immanuel Church, New Lane, Oswaldtwistle, Accrington, Lancs. BB5 3QN.
