So very sorry to hear of the sudden loss of Peter. Such a lovely man. In fact, a gentleman.Always happy and smiling whenever my late husband, Peter and I saw him. Special thoughts will be with you all on Tuesday. Love, Maureen, Lisa and family xx

I am so saddened to read of Peter's passing, yet grateful that I bumped into him and Margaret a couple of years ago in Aldi just before his eightieth birthday when he was so sprightly and still very youthful. I have so many fond memories of working with Pete. He taught me so much during my early stages of my surveying career, in fact I still cherish a couple of Pete's survey books that I kept to ensure that I continued to do things properly following Pete's retirement when Humberside County Council was devolved. Pete was a wonderful gentleman, one of my more poignant memories was as a result of the Dumblane shooting when Pete was forced into ending his hobby of pistol shooting, he spent many lunchtimes sanding various wooden handles etc . I loved hearing of Pete's life, even surprised that he was once a Policeman. He used to say that in them days there were that many career opportunities that you could try anything. I am just glad that he became a Land Surveyor and that I learnt so much from him. Thank you Pete for all your wisdom, patience and teaching. Rest in Peace x
