Passed away in hospital on Tuesday 19th August, surrounded by his loving family, after a very short but courageous fight.

A much-loved father to Dominic, caring father-in-law to Amy, and cherished grandad to Dominic and Ellis.
A devoted brother to Jill and Susan, loving brother-in-law to Jeff and Ian, treasured uncle to Casey, Chloe, Holly, Isla, Ivy, Frances and Eve, and a cousin loved by all.

Would family and friends please meet for the funeral service on Thursday 28th August 2025 at Saltwell Crematorium at 9:45am.

Family flowers only.

Donations, if desired, to The QE Hospital Critical Care Unit and The Haven Room at The Freeman Hospital.

Guests are invited to wear bright colours.

All are welcome after the service to Dunston UTS Football Club.

I had the pleasure of looking after Michael during his time in the A&E department at the QE Hospital. He was a really lovely gentleman. I am gutted to hear of his passing. All my love during this time to his family and friends. Freya xx
