Sadly died after a long illness, on the 17th May 2025 aged 92. His family were at his side as he passed peacefully away.

Widower to Joyce who he married in 1956, and who he lost less than a year ago, role model and devoted Father to Simon and Daughter-in-Law Rebecca, proud Grandpa to William and Emily, her husband Ashley and Great-Grandpa to his 'little friend', Finley.

His extraordinary historic energy and selfless charitable spirit, has created many tangible legacies that will be felt and enjoyed by future generations of young creative people in Essex, and beyond. He has truly left his mark.

Funeral service to be held at Colchester Crematorium on Wednesday 2nd July, at 11:30am.

Dress code: smart.

Family flowers only. No donations are necessary.
