John WilliamEXTONFormer employee of Donisthorpe Colliery, National Coal Board, Swadlincote Test site. It is with great sadness to announce the passing of John Exton (also known as Chalky). Adored Husband of the late Norma, much loved Dad of Clare, Brother in Law, Uncle, Cousin and a great friend to many who will be sadly missed. He will also be greatly missed by Lucy, his dog. John sadly passed away on Monday 6th June at Royal Derby Hospital after bravely battling ongoing health conditions. Clare would like to thank the wonderful staff on ward 410, Paramedics, Bradcare, Dr Patel and staff at Newhall Surgery, Dr Hartman and staff at South Derbyshire CMHT, Jenny Russell, Community Matron and the IMPACT Team, Derby, for their dedication, kindness and care for John over the past number of years. John's celebration of life will take place at Bretby Crematorium on Friday 1st July 2022 at 13:30pm. All are welcome. Dress code is to include the colour blue and his wake will be held at the Anchor Pub, High Street, Newhall. Family flowers only with donations in lieu to be split between Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust UK and The Alzheimer's Society.
