I had the pleasure of not only working alongside Hilary at Thomas Muir High School and Bishopbriggs Academy, but of Mrs Dickie being my teacher for 6 years. Mrs Dickie supported me for my interview for my PE teaching course, helping me choose specific beat music to fit the dance I had to perform at interview - my first introduction to “Get Back” by the Beatles.
I also have very fond memories of being invited along with Hilary & some of our staff & pupils every year to see the musical theatre showcase performances and end of year shows by the Dance School of Scotland students, directed by Hilary’s incredibly talented and renowned musical theatre director Husband, Graham.
Hilary was so proud of her family & spoke always of her two children, Jennie & Jonathan. Hilary was such a kind person. I still have the glasses and crockery she got me as a gift when I bought my first house with my Husband. She will be sorely missed by many, of that there is no doubt. Beautiful service for an incredible woman. Sing loudly in the Heavens, Mrs Dickie 🎶🕊️
