Leo on his 4th birthday Valentines Day 2025

Leo had his 4th birthday on Valentine’s Day. He is a wonderful gift to my life. His cheerful outlook on life and his cheeky mannerism’s make me laugh. I had him for 4 days 2 weeks ago as Jack and Lisa went for their 5 year anniversary to Rome. We went upstairs and he went into Chris’s old room. It has become a bit of a dumping ground so there was a lot in there. Leo called me….”Nanny, Nanny please come here. Grandad’s room is such a mess u need to come and sort it out right now. “ I have been trying to do his clothes for the last 18 months but it just becomes overwhelming on my own. Anyway, we started to throw the clothes down the stairs. Leo said “Nanny, grandad won’t be needing any of this or his shoes as he is still in the sky with the planes. “ As I told u before, he was too young to understand angels so we told him in the sky with the planes. Difficult this time as I had told him his mummy and daddy were on a plane. He asked if they were coming home soon. I said yes and he didn’t say anything else. It has certainly made it more bearable doing it with him. Sam collected a full car load and placed it into local clothes bank. He is a fantastic blessing in my life and I wouldn’t change him for anything. As he is getting older his personality is coming through. He is cheeky, very particular and likes order. He differs from u in the fact he only drinks water. I’m sure u r with Chris downing the whisky and cider. Ellen (old lady round the corner I looked after) who u have met as she was part of our life for 25 years died on Thursday she had been unwell for about a year and I’m sure u r all reunited together again. Look after each other. sending my love always your daughter Lorraine xx

Jack and Lisa moved into their new place in sept. All settled now. They’ve been to Paris earlier in the year and just come back from Berlin. Jack said best thing was sausages he takes after you with food. Loves his food. Planning for their wedding in late 2026. Another wedding to plan for much smaller than Sam and Evie’s though as have leo to think about. Xx

Sam and Evie celebrated their 1st wedding anniversary in July and went on their honeymoon beg nov. Orlando usa for 2 weeks. Had great time at theme parks and even went to nasa and saw rocket launch. He told me that the booster rocket that used to land in the sea now has its own landing pad so it gets reused. Amazing. They also have a new pet. Merlin the rabbit. He gets spoiled rotten by both of them. Sam is a great husband a man you would be proud to call a grandson. Xx

Leo is now 3YR 10 months. He is growing fast and already in 4/5 clothes. People keep thinking he is 5 and at school. he’# that big and eats like a horse. He has 4 sausages mash and peas. Followed by choc pudding. He goes to nursery every day now and loves it. He brings me great joy and I love our special time together. He told me for the first time “nanny do you know something…I love you…..” best thing I have heard all year. Filled my heart with loving feelings. You would have been proud to have him as a great grandson. He knows your pic that is on the wall. He tells me that Grandad haggy is with grandad in the sky with the planes. Such a nice way to think of u both. Not for Chris as he would have never got on a plane…..children have such an innocent way of looking at life but I love the way he tells me about you both. Look after each other. Keep dancing and drinking your whisky. Love Lorraine and family.
