AlanCOLESAlan died peacefully and unexpectedly on Monday 2 October 2017 having just celebrated his 90th birthday. Loving 'Father', 'Chief' and 'Dad' to Jenny, Ian, Andrew and Michael and their partners, Grandad to 7 Grandchildren and Great Grandad to 3 Great-grandchildren. He leaves us all with many happy memories. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at Chalfont St Giles Parish Church on Wednesday 25 October at 2.15pm. All who knew Alan are welcome to attend - please wear bright clothes. No flowers please (he grew his own!), but donations can be made payable to Macmillan either at the retiring collection or c/o H C Grimstead, 10 Hill Avenue, Amersham, HP6 5BW.
