I'm not the best with words. I look back fondly on my childhood and remember all the times you would come and visit. I was always so excited to know you were coming. I loved the walks you, dad, Michael and Patrick took me on. There was always a pub visit on those walks!! You were an amazing uncle and will be missed greatly. I hope you are back with dad walking and drinking pints. You will be missed so very much.

Grampy Allan was a truly special soul - someone whose kindness, sincerity, and unwavering determination left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. He had a heart full of warmth, always offering a listening ear and a helping hand. No challenge was ever too great for him; he faced every obstacle with quiet strength and a steadfast belief that there was always a solution. Nothing ever phased him, and no matter the circumstance, he remained a source of calm and reassurance.

What made Grampy Allan so remarkable was his ability to see the goodness in others. Never did he have an unkind word to say about anyone. He found the best in people, uplifting those around him with his generosity, wisdom, kindness and unwavering support. His presence brought comfort, his words inspired, and his actions spoke of a love.

To Joel, Ella, and Lani- we hope you find solace in the incredible memories you shared and the love that will forever remain in your hearts. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

With prayers and love,
Adam, Gemma, Gabriella and Joseph xx

There are few people in this world who embody both kindness and strength so effortlessly, but Grampy Allan was one of them. He was the sincerest, kindest man-a steady and important presence in the lives of those who knew him. No challenge was too great, no problem without a solution. With unwavering determination, he faced any hurdles with grace, never allowing anything to shake his resolve.

Beyond his strength, Grampy Allan had a rare gift: the ability to see the goodness in everyone. He believed in people and above all, kindness, lifting them up with his warmth, his wisdom, and his gentle encouragement. His kindness left an indelible mark on all who were lucky enough to know him, including ourselves.

To Joel, Ella, and Lani—we hope you find strength and comfort in the love and memories Grampy Allan leaves behind. His legacy is one of love, resilience, and unwavering faith in the best of humanity. Though he may no longer be with us in person, his spirit will forever live on in all who cherished him. We are priveleged to have known him and were incredibly fond of him- he will be missed.

May he rest in peace.

Allan, a kind, caring and intelligent man who always put his family first. Every time I saw ‘Ella’s gramp’ he’d ask how I am, how work was going, just a completely genuine person which you don’t come by often. Allan didn’t take life for granted, he admired things like watching the birds go by, the clouds in the sky and the greenness of the grass and it just makes you think about what really matters. Allan was always the ‘go to’ person for his family and any issues big or small were valid to him, he’d listen and he’d be there to help. It was important to Allan that the family came together to celebrate every occasion, every achievement and I know this is something that’ll be continued with Allan in spirit. Allan, you really exceeded all expectations of a father and a grand father, from ringing Ella every morning to wake her up for school, to accompanying her to appointments and making sure she had everything she needed. You’ve made your son and granddaughters into the lovely, caring and unprejudiced people that they are today. I don’t know how your family are going to go on without you, but you’ve brought them this far and will continue to guide them from above. The world has lost an absolute gem. Rest in peace Allan, love from Holly x

Allan was a “gentle soul” with a BIG heart. Even his speech was gentle. He enjoyed everyone’s company and was never one to criticise or judge, but always offered guidance and words of wisdom.

He had so many qualities that were admirable, being extremely well read and knowledgeable, but at the same time modest. He was kind, patient generous , empathetic and a tremendous example to us all.

It’s been a privilege knowing him and he’s certainly made an indelible mark on my life. I shall miss him and our hour long conversations , always interspersed with laughter!

How very fortunate Joel, Ella and Lani have been to have such a wonderful father and grandfather!

Allan was deeply spiritual and yet not religious. May the Good Lord be merciful to him and grant him peace.

Requiescat in Pace Allan 🙏

Allan for the short time we spent in each other’s company such as family get togethers, you always included me and made me feel welcome. I know from what I’m seeing that your passing away has affected so many people and you are truly missed. I will always remember your firm hand shake and wise words so I just know that you are looking down on all those people and loved ones that knew you just wishing the best for us all.
My deepest condolences to those who you left behind and if I die half the man who you were then I’d rest peacefully
