The obituary notice of Cameron BLACKHALL

Late to add my tribute but nevertheless, studying Town and Country Planning at Newcastle University in the early 1980’s was a life defining moment for me which Cam Blackall played no small part in. He set a standard of expectation about the responsibilities of being a good planner which stayed with you beyond the course and into practice. A lasting legacy of how planning should be done.

I was a planning student in the 1980s, and Cam was one of what was quite a colourful team of lecturers....he would swing by seminar rooms and sit on the edge of a desk, pipe close by / in mouth! He had quite sense of humour and loved to talk, in a thoughtful and considered way. He certainly left a mark on my life, like so many other people no doubt. Thank you, Cam.
